Tzav describes a form of worship we don’t practice any more. It tells how Moses clothed Aaron and his sons in the outfits of the High Priests.
Then it describes in some detail how Moses killed some animals and sacrificed some of the parts on the fire of the altar. Then he gave the rest of the animals to be boiled and eaten by Aaron.
Food for Thought
Why do you think it was important to sacrifice animals? Is it something you’d do today? Do you make other kinds of sacrifices in your life?
